Open Government Partnership National Action Plan 2016-2018: Implementation Review

New consultation:

Open Government Partnership National Action Plan 2016-2018

Implementation Review

We want your feedback on how we're doing.

We want your ideas on how we can do better.

Reports on  the Implementation of each Commitment

To the right, on this page, are links to reports on the implementation of each of the 15 commitments contained in the National Action Plan 2016-2018.  Each report sets out in detail the progress that has been made and the next steps to be taken in implementing the commitments.

We are now seeking your views and ideas on the implementation of the individual commitments.  Some implementation reports ask specific consultation questions.  If you have knowledge or experience of any of the details set out in the reports, do you think the assessment is fair? Do you have ideas on how the next steps can be more effective? Would you like more information on some aspects of the implementation to date? Are you aware of any risks to the commitments and milestones achieving their objectives? What would success look like in delivering the commitments?

This online consultation portal is intended to provide a space for dialogue, collaboration, and an opportunity for civil society to give feedback on the implementation of the 15 commitments in the Action Plan. These reports will be open for comment until 15 September.

Implementation Review Forum

The Civic Forums held to help create the National Action Plan 2016-2018 are being used as a model to drive the implementation of the Plan.

An Implementation Review Forum will focus on those commitments & milestones of most interest to the public and Civil Society and will provide an opportunity to engage with officials working on their implementation. The Forum may also help identify how the OGP's goals could be advanced in the future, where the discussion goes beyond the commitments in the 2016-2018 National Action Plan.  In this way, the Forum could allow more time to formulate and consider ideas for Ireland's next Open Government Partnership National Action Plan, 2018-2020.

We will make arrangements to hold an Implementation Review Forum that suits the most people who interested in attending.  Those making submissions will be invited to attend the  Forum and to help shape its agenda.

If the Forum is oversubscribed, participants will be selected so as to ensure that the commitments being discussed are of interest to those present and relevant expertise is available.
