This consultation portal is where you can make your contribution to the creation of Ireland’s second National Action Plan, for the period 2016 to 2018, under the Open Government Partnership, an international initiative that challenges governments to be more transparent, accountable and responsive to citizens. 

The Draft National Action Plan is now open for consultation. Read the plan and make your submission. The National Action Plan includes commitments and actions to advance these central aims:

  1. Increased Citizen Engagement, to improve policies and services


  1. Increased Transparency, to better understand government activities and decisions

  1. Open Data, for transparency and innovation


  1. Anti-Corruption and Strengthened Governance and Accountability, to ensure integrity in public life
